Jesus Our Mediator

By |

The Apostle Paul writes - "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). A keystone of understanding for Christians in the New Testament was that the human Jesus is our mediator.  Pastor Mark Jones of Tennessee presents a powerful scriptural understanding of Jesus - not as God - but our mediator with God.

Who is Jesus?

What is the true identity of Jesus?  Few subject's have stirred as much debate among Christians as that one. Speaking at a theological conference, Dr. Joe Martin of Atlanta Bible College gives his audience a summary of what he calls the "easy understanding" about Jesus and who he really is according to the Bible.

Jesus: A Real Man – Really!

By |

Jesus has been proposed to be a “God-man” (Trinitarianism) an “Angel-man” (Arianism) and a variety of other supposed identifications. J. Dan Gill speaks to an audience in Tennessee about why Jesus had to be truly one of us – a real human being. He tells us that while Jesus was begotten by the spirit of God by an incredible miracle in a virgin (Luke 1:35), that he could not be any other kind of creature than a true human being and be the savior of humanity (Romans 5:17; 1 Corinthians 15:21).

If we do not hear him and do his words, God will hold us accountable. Dr. Joe Martin of Atlanta Bible College tells his audience at a Christological conference in Tennessee that to follow Jesus means to serve the same God that he serves, hear his word and do his will.

What Kept Jesus from Sinning?

By |

According to the Bible, Jesus did not sin (Heb. 4:14, 15). Was he able to resist sin because he was a God-man? An Angel-man? But the Scriptures teach that he was in fact a real man - a true human being (Acts 2:22) and that God cannot even be tempted (James 1:13).  So how did this man keep from sinning? Joel Hemphill gives us a clear – scriptural – answer to this question.

One of Us, For All of Us

By |

A great mystery of our human experience is that God has brought about our salvation through one of us - a human being. It was one of us - Adam - who brought sin and death into the world. It is one of us - Jesus - the last Adam (1 Cor. [...]
