The One God Is One Person

James, who is believed to be the (half) brother of Jesus, never identifies Jesus as being God. Rather, James tells us that the one true God is “one” individual – and that one is the Father (James 1:27; 2:19). The one true God is one person – not two or three as came to be believed by Gentile Christians after the Bible was written.
